William Vogt is an experienced consultant and social media analyst with multiple publications on issues of emerging markets, information technology policy, and international political economy. He has written two books, including "Foundations of the Chinese Internet: Calculations, Concepts, Culture" which was published in 2023. He also has experience coaching golf with The First Tee program.

Vogt is a two-time graduate of Georgetown University, with a B.S. from the School of Foreign Service and an M.A. from the Communication, Culture, and Technology program. At Georgetown, he founded and led the university’s New Media in Asia Research Group and won a Hanban (Confucius Institute) scholarship to visit Nanjing University. He also studied in Beijing and Quito, Ecuador.
