Hi, my name is Trevor Geller, and I'm a former Google and Udemy employee that's passionate about helping small businesses succeed with Google Ads.
I spent two years at Google working with businesses using Google Ads, formerly known as AdWords. In my first year, I consulted over 600 small businesses. Most of them were spending anywhere between $1,000 to $10,000 per month on Google Ads. The companies I worked with ranged from small ecommerce sites to brick and mortar storefronts. Along the way I worked with plumbers, lawyers, doctors, mechanics, and countless other sole proprietors trying to manage their entire business while also struggling with the complexities of Google Ads.
In my second year, I started working with larger businesses, one of which was Udemy. After spending a year as Udemy’s Google Ads account strategist, they asked me if I wanted to join them full-time.
I spent three years working at Udemy. During this time, I managed millions of dollars of digital advertising spend for them across Google Search, YouTube, and Facebook. I also held other roles including marketing strategy and product marketing.
I left Udemy at the end of August 2018 and spent 15 months traveling around the world with my partner, Denise. Highlights include: bicycle touring 4,000 miles around the Mediterranean, scuba diving in 6 different countries across 3 continents, and hiking in the Himalayas for a month. During our travels we were able to work on personal projects (including this course) and spent time doing digital marketing consulting for small businesses.
We recently got engaged and moved back to the Bay Area full-time. In February 2020, I joined Decathlon USA to help them grow their presence in the US, particularly the e-commerce channel.
