I am a recent graduate of Drake University, where I earned my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. As part of my doctoral capstone project, I focused on the implementation of Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM) practices within the acute care setting. My project aimed to enhance patient outcomes while also promoting the safety and well-being of direct care staff through evidence-based SPHM strategies.
Throughout my academic and clinical experiences, I have developed a strong passion for working in the acute care environment. I am deeply committed to supporting patients during their hospital stays and helping them regain their functional independence, allowing for a smoother transition back to their prior level of functioning. My goal is to contribute to a collaborative healthcare team that prioritizes both patient-centered care and staff safety.
