Tanweer began his VAT career with PwC in 2007 where he joined the Indirect tax team in financial services and qualified as a chartered Accountant (ACA). He later joined Deloitte in London specialising in Financial services VAT and Islamic Finance.

Since 2013, Tanweer has been working as an in-house VAT specialist for various multi-corporate organisations covering insurance, Energy, Real Estate and commodities. His responsibilities have ranged from providing internal VAT advice, managing UK and global VAT compliance as well as consulting on VAT systems.
