I am Svetlana Mezina, an artist and an engineer. I teach both, the same way: one step, then the next, on something real.

For more than fifteen years I have worked with color for painting and interiors. In Feel the Color and One Room — One Palette, students build a palette from a room they already have: walls, furniture that stays, floor, and light. A swatch that looks right in the store is not yet a decision.

I also share applied IT from production work, not from a slide. For 19 years I have designed and operated databases and platforms: Apache Cassandra, Couchbase, Oracle, and AWS, plus Grafana monitoring, backups, and the notes a team needs to run the system without me. Earlier I led Oracle and reporting delivery for banking analytics. In teaching I keep the same rule as in a cluster: name the failure, show the check, leave a sequence someone else can repeat.
