Hello. My name is Simon Kim. I earned Computer Science in BS from University of Minnesota and Data Science in MS from Depaul University.

I am a Data Engineer working in healthcare industry. My day to day work consists of immense ETL process through complicated architecture primarily relying on AWS and Airflow DAGs. Not only that, monitoring data flow and validating quality of data prior to data delivery to customers are what I'm focusing on the most. Also I implemented a real-time Splunk Dashboard to broadcast all teams regarding metadata about DAG. Currently I'm heavily using Python, SQL, Docker.

My goal of future career is to be a both Data Engineer and Data scientist in healthcare, consultant, and sport industry since I really love coding and dealing with numbers leveraging statistical analysis. Expanding my technical skills (both software and hardware knowledge) and absorbing others' talents are what I love to aim. I'm not trying to be pedantic, instead I want to become a more versatile person.
