Analytic Philosophy of Science
About me
I have a background in general philosophy and particularly Analytic Philosophy of Science having recently graduated from st. Andrews University, Scotland, UK where I studied Logic and Metaphysics.
My goal here is twofold: First, to tranfer you my knowledge in analytical thinking techniques and tools taken from current analytic philosophy and from various philosophers (like Descartes, Hume etc.) and teach you how to apply them in daily life; and Second, to guide you through some fascinating issues within current Philosophy of Science that have to do with the interrelation between reality, perception and language that infiltrate our daily thinking about the world and our place in it.
Additionally my courses are structured in such a way so as little or no background knowledge in philosophy is needed.
Should you ask, my research interests involve: scientific reasoning, causal explanation, causal models, the philosophy of probability, philosophy of causation and their interrelation with Philosophy of Physics, Philosophy of Language and Mind, (Formal) Epistemology.
