About me
Slava Balan is an international Human Rights educator, practitioner and researcher with over 20 years of professional work on issues of human and minority rights, gender equality and social inclusion with the United Nations, Amnesty International, Freedom House, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, International Commission of Jurists. Slava holds two Master in Laws degrees (from the Central European University and from McGill University in Canada) and currently completes his PhD in Law program at the University of Ottawa (Canada). Slava teaches human rights in academic institutions and in professional trainings in Europe, Northern America and Asia.
