Sean Melis is an Australian product designer, AI builder and educator based in London. He has spent 15 years turning emerging technology into useful, human experiences.
In 2023, Sean created one of the first practical ChatGPT courses. It rose to number one in Udemy’s ChatGPT search results and went on to reach more than 30,000 students across 150 countries.
The course also helped bring Sean to PA Consulting, where he became an AI Agent Innovation Lead. There, he helped major organisations move beyond AI demonstrations and build systems people could actually use. His work included designing an AI-powered “software gigafactory” for a tier-one UK bank and helping teams understand how AI agents could change the way complex work gets done.
Earlier in his career, Sean worked in AI and automation at Deloitte and founded Bot Hello, one of Australia’s early conversational-AI companies. Across his career, he has worked with organisations including L’Oréal, Mercedes-Benz, UBS and Lloyds Bank.
Today, Sean is building Melis AI: a creative AI company making software, films, learning experiences and practical systems for living and working with intelligent tools.
His newest course, AI Magic 2033, is the result of years spent not merely talking about AI, but using it every day to research, design, create, build and make difficult decisions.
