I’ve been lucky enough to have really good guitar teachers, including at the university level, and I’ve tried to make use of all that training by making a living as a classical guitarist. That has meant giving lots of private lessons and playing in weddings. My favorite music to play, however lies somewhere between Stevie Ray Vaughn, Stephen Bennett, and August Burns Red, and lately I can’t stop listening to old school death metal. So I love playing perfect and composed music, but I also love to improvise.

I’ve been teaching guitar for over 10 years, and I’m a lot better at that than when I started. I teach people the music they want to learn while trying to find a way to help them build their general musicianship.
