About me
I have been a painter ever since I could hold a paint brush, but none of my paintings ever looked like a real thing. If only I had realised that Picasso's paintings didn't look real either!
When I discovered I was an abstract artist it set me free to paint everyday. It unleashed that doubt that sits inside every artist and creative that tells us that our art isn't valuable or worthy.
Which is just not true.
By learning the different materials I could create with, by watching other people paint, I challenged myself to paint in different ways. Which strengthened my ability to keep creating in different ways.
I learnt about different types of paint, different mediums, textures, and things I would never have thought of doing. I am not going to teach you how to draw or paint waterfalls, I am going to teach you how to express yourself and give voice to the painter within you.
I start every painting with the same intention, "I don't know what this will look like when this is done, whether it will be any good, and thats okay".
