I am an accountant by education with about 25 years of work experience, most of it has been in the IT industry.
In the IT industry, most of the people who join are majorly from an engineering or a software back ground, the developers are not aware of the business cycle or the accounting structure. so initially I started to take this basic courses for new comers to train them and explain them the business and also the accounting. They found it very helpful and it also helped the companies as the people had a broader view.
This training was conducted in all the companies I worked with and then with the current situation, had to do this online. This gave me an idea to reach out to a broader audience.
Being a Finance consultant, I have seen various kind of businesses all across the world, but the one common thing among all the businesses across all the countries is the Basic or fundamentals of Book keeping and accountancy. Since I have seen so many types of companies, my experience has also grown and the exposure that I have now, has made me a better teacher.
I have tried and simplified the way we look at Finance and hope you would find that too.
