Richard Daniel Curtis is an internationally recognised mental health disruptor, wellbeing expert and mentor.
He is the founder of The Mentoring School, a professional development training team which supports business leaders and individuals who are looking to grow their skills and capabilities.
Richard has advised government departments and written more than 200 training courses. And in 2015 he developed the Structure for Mentoring conversations. This is a framework which is used in mentoring conversations and mentoring best practice around the world.
As a trusted expert, Richard has supported thousands of businesses to improve leadership skills, drive up productivity, reduce absenteeism, while simultaneously put the wellbeing of their staff first.
His work is estimated to have impacted the lives of more than 12 million people. And that figure is only going up.
In 2013 Richard set up his own award-winning training and consultancy business called The Root Of It which sits at the forefront of high-quality mental health training.
Later, he founded Mental Health Courses which provides guaranteed mental health training courses to businesses.
He established this after noticing that many of the mental health training options on the market were low quality and had little to no actual impact on behaviour. Richard believed he could provide something better for businesses. So he set about to deliver it.
Finally, Richard is a distinguished author. He has written 11 books, appeared on TV and radio, and is a frequent commentator on mental health policy.
He lives in the United Kingdom with his two children.
