How is my teaching methodology unique? Many teachers will teach you how to draw a single object, but nothing that looks or feels like a completed artwork. You’ll be left wondering, “but what about the background?” or “how do I apply this to other objects?”. Instead, I’ll demonstrate a complete composition, start to finish, explaining what I’m doing and why. Along the way, you’ll learn all the basics and I’ll show you how to apply them to your own compositions. Don’t bore yourself with drawing circles and squares! With my proven teaching method, you’ll learn faster, have more fun, and create something you’re proud of.

I’m a drawer, painter, bronze sculptor, and teacher. I’ve been teaching drawing and painting for the last 20 years in person at private art schools, in online classes, and on-demand videos. I’ve exhibited my work in galleries in Santa Monica and Sausalito, California, and in Kirkland, Everett, and Tacoma, Washington. In year 2004, I was written up in the Seattle Times and have won awards from the cities of Redmond and Everett, Washington.
