Raye Mathis, MSW, attended a month-long Atlantic University retreat on meditation in the mid-1970s. She has been a student of the Edgar Cayce material since the early 60s and had attended numerous Association for Research and Enlightenment conferences at the Edgar Cayce Center. Her Atlantic University experience was the most intense application of the Edgar Cayce concepts she had ever experienced. After receiving her master's degree in clinical social work and attending the Carl Jung Institute in Switzerland for several semesters of postgraduate work, she accepted a position on the Atlantic University faculty. In addition to teaching the required courses, she has taught elective courses in symbolism, mythology, archetypes, and alchemy, all topics common to the Cayce philosophy and Jungian psychology.
