About me
Rashed Morshed FCIPS, PMP, PEng.
Rashed Morshed is currently the Head of Procurement at Bangladesh China Power Company Ltd. (BCPCL), bringing over 21 years of extensive experience in procurement, supply chain, and project management across both public and private sectors. His career includes key roles with organizations such as BCPCL, The World Bank, DESCO, the Ministry of Education (GoB), and ACI. He also serves as the Secretary of the CIPS Bangladesh Branch.
Since 2011, Rashed has been actively engaged in teaching CIPS qualifications at institutions including BIGD, BRAC University and ESCB. With deep insight into CIPS curricula—having worked through five versions of the syllabus—he has become a trusted guide for students preparing for CIPS exams. He is also a National Procurement Trainer and e-GP Trainer for the Government of Bangladesh, regularly conducting capacity-building programs for public and private sector professionals.
In addition to CIPS training, Rashed is a certified PMP trainer and serves as adjunct faculty at several academic and training institutes including BRAC University, BIGD, BCS Administration Academy, BIAM, BPMI, and ESCB. He has delivered keynote speeches at numerous national seminars on EPC/turnkey contracting, public procurement reform, supply chain strategies, and project management.
Rashed has developed a wide range of training programs, including the Certificate Course on Supply Chain Management (SCM), PMP Exam Preparation Courses, and short courses on public procurement. He is the author of Improving Performance of Store Management (LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing) and co-author of a peer-reviewed article titled Readiness for Integrating Sustainability Issues in the Public Procurement Process of Bangladesh, published in the International Journal of Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship Advancement (IJEBEA).
With a passion for education and professional development, Rashed has successfully mentored over 1,000 CIPS students and 200 PMP aspirants. He considers it a privilege to support learners on their certification journey and is deeply committed to helping them pass their exams on the first attempt.
