Pieter has completed a four years bachelors in civil engineering degree in 1998, and also completed a masters in information technology in 2004.  Pieter has been working as a professional project manager and civil engineer in the consulting environment since 1998.  Experience were obtained in small, medium and large projects ranging from bulk water projects to building projects at various stages of a project lifecycle.  Work experience has also been obtained in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Lesotho.

Pieter has been a part-time lecturer lecturing a project management subject for    bachelor of technology degree student since 2014 at a University of Technology in South Africa. Training is provide based on the Project Management Institude (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and project scheduling is introduced to the students by making use of the open source scheduling software ProjectLibre.

Pieter has registered as a project management professional (PMP) at the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the United States.

Pieter is also registered as a professional civil engineer (Pr.Eng) and a professional construction project manager (Pr.CPM) in South Africa.

Pieter is passionate about learning student project management principles and has also created a project management YouTube channel since August 2017 learning students various aspects of project managements.
