My name is Pedro Silva from the city of Porto, Portugal. I have been playing the guitar for 25 years, and I am the Head of music department at Magic Sound Lab, an Artificial Intelligence powered platform that recommends music to creators based in advanced image recognition. In 2003, I graduated in Sound and Image from the Portuguese Catholic University. After finishing my studies, I worked as a sound designer and musician for the most well-recognized and active audiovisual companies in Porto. In 2006, I completed a Master’s degree in Audio Production at the University of Westminster in London, England. For the next four years, I stayed in London to work on my craft as a music producer and audio engineer. In 2009 I went back to my home country of Portugal for a teaching position at Instituto Universitário da Maia, where I taught courses on sound production. I have also enjoyed a freelance in engineering and directing for voice talent for Portuguese animation productions. However, what I enjoy the most out of life are Mico and Smartt—the best dogs in the world.
