Nykola initially studied Law at both bachelors and Masters levels. She then worked in corporate law for a number of years, whilst teaching in the evenings. It was at this point, that she discovered a love of languages, which led to a career change and her entering the field of Education. Nykola then gained her bachelors in Language Studies and her Masters in Education, which led to her working in Higher Education, both lecturing Linguistics and Academic Writing and twice being nominated for Lecturer of the Year at her university. She is currently studying for her Doctorate in Education with a Russell Group University.
It was through having such close contact with students that Nykola, a native English speaker, was able to both understand and assist students with the effective academic writing of their assignments, dissertations and even doctoral theses in English. In the last two decades, Nykola has gained valuable experience working with students in a number of disciplines, including Science, Engineering, Law, the Social Sciences and the Arts.
When she isn’t working, Nykola enjoys reading both fiction and non-fiction, fitness, home crafts, learning languages and swimming.
