I am a historian, educator, and founder of Gudea Academy, an educational project dedicated to making history accessible through courses, workshops, and digital learning resources.
My academic background includes a BA in History from the University of San Francisco and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago. I have taught at Yerevan State University, delivered public lectures on Mesopotamian, Persian, Armenian, and medieval history, and published research in the fields of Near Eastern and Armenian Studies.
My teaching focuses on helping students understand the broader historical forces that shaped civilizations, from the ancient Near East to medieval Europe. Whether exploring Mesopotamia, the Viking Age, Byzantium, or the Crusades, I aim to combine scholarly rigor with clear and engaging instruction.
Current projects include:
• History of Mesopotamia • Medieval Europe: A Complete Survey (500–1500) • Gudea Academy language and history workshops
Thank you for joining me on this journey through history.
