Hi, my name is Nikusha and I'm a professional artist that has taught hundreds of students how to draw and paint over the last 7 years. My specialty is helping students grow as versatile, confident artists that have experience with a wide variety of mediums, such as charcoal, acrylic, oils, watercolors, soft pastels, graphite, mixed media, and more, in a variety of styles from academic realism to expressionistic.

I was trained by Olya Losina, my mentor and my mother. Through my training, I have learned the importance of thorough studies in art, history, psychology, and optics. I like to infuse my lessons with other subjects to enrich the experience - for it to be true education.

I teach live online classes at Prima Materia Art Institute and as a way of helping more people experience their artistic side, will be uploading the select course recordings to Udemy.

As a teacher, I love helping students learn new topics and guide them through the discovery of themselves as a creative. I encourage students to try new things and push themselves in ways they never thought possible. Turning "I can't" stories into "I can!"

As an artist, I especially love drawing in charcoal or painting with oils. I find both of these mediums delicious (although I would never eat them! ... Even though I have had charcoal ice cream before...)
