Coach Olney is a passionate Teacher and Coach who has coached and had success at the college, high school, minor league, and youth levels. He believes highly in the importance of learning through education, experience, and from others. He currently holds two Masters degrees in (1)Human Performance and PE in Coaching and in (2)Teaching. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
He has experience teaching classes at the Masters level in Coaching Education. He has been teaching PE, Health, Psychology, Business, and Technology throughout his 15 year teaching career at the K-12 level.
Coach O's passion is coaching and coaching the coach's. His first coaching love is football where he is currently a D2 Assistant Coach while coaching for over 25 seasons. He has been successful and nationally recognized for his efforts as a coach. In 2009, he was named the National Minor League Football Assistant Coach of the Year and was the Far West Football Alliance National All-Star Team Defensive Coordinator. As a head coach, he has brought success back to a losing program and continuing to build as well as setting many team and individual school records. Further, he has built a program from scratch to a league championship, undefeated season, and first playoff victory all within 4 short years. Coach has also had success as both a high school wrestling and track coach where he has coached many state qualifiers and placers in both.
