About me
Hi, my name is Mykhaylo Oleksiyenko.
I have been playing chess for as long as I remember. I started at four years old and till this day chess deeply fascinates me!
I want to share my love for chess as well as the things that I have learned over the years with anyone who is ready to listen. Also I am trying to implement my mathematical/logical/scientific background to chess.
Here are my current accomplishments:
International grandmaster since 2005.
PhD in mathematics since 2012.
Rapid chess champion of Ukraine (2014).
Chess champion of Ukraine (2016)
FIDE Trainer since 2015.
Official commentator of World Team Chess Championship (Ankara, 2013) and FIDE Women’s World Chess Championship Match (Lviv, 2016)
Coach of national teams of the Netherlands (women), Egypt and Ukraine.
I have been teaching chess since 2012. I was privileged to work with the following national teams - Ukraine, Egypt and Netherlands. There were also quite a number of GMs, IMs and a lot of players without any title that I helped on individual level.
I hope you will enjoy my courses and I look forward to your feedback!
