I am a Merchant Navy Deck Officer and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer with more than two decades of involvement in the maritime industry. My professional experience includes serving onboard livestock carriers, bulk carriers, container vessels, and tankers, as well as working in commercial shipping operations and maritime training.
I also served as an HSE Officer on a transshipment vessel, where I was responsible for implementing safety management systems, conducting risk assessments, supervising safe working practices, leading toolbox meetings, investigating incidents, ensuring compliance with international safety standards, and coordinating emergency preparedness for a large multinational workforce. This practical experience has given me a deep understanding of how safety and operational excellence work together in demanding marine environments.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in navigation, cargo operations, shipboard safety, commercial documentation, inspections, maritime regulations, and crew coordination. My teaching is based on practical onboard experience rather than theory alone. Every lesson is designed to explain complex maritime subjects in a simple, structured, and practical way that students can apply in real-life situations.
Whether you are a cadet, junior officer, experienced seafarer, maritime professional, or someone interested in the shipping industry, my goal is to help you build confidence through practical knowledge, real examples, and industry-focused training.
Thank you for joining my courses, and I look forward to being part of your maritime learning journey.
