Ever since childhood, I dreamed of becoming an astronomer. When I discovered that understanding physics was essential for studying astronomy, I eagerly began studying physics as soon as I entered high school. Yet despite my efforts with textbooks and lectures, physics remained completely incomprehensible to me. I couldn't solve any homework problems, and once, as punishment for my failure, a teacher humiliated me by drawing a large X on my back with chalk. Overwhelmed with frustration and sadness, I moved through each day under a cloud of despair, sometimes retreating to my room to cry alone. Naturally, my performance in other subjects suffered terribly as well, leading to a miserable high school experience where I was looked down upon by both teachers and fellow students.
Though I managed to graduate high school, I felt I needed to truly master the high school material before attempting university, so I enrolled in a preparatory school. The lectures there were transformative—not only did I finally grasp physics and other subjects, but I discovered the genuine joy of learning. The teachers I encountered there changed the course of my life. Now, I research black holes using relativity theory while also teaching physics to high school students myself.
In today's world, the internet allows us to connect with people everywhere. I long to share the excitement of discovery and the profound joy of understanding with others I meet through screens around the world. Nothing would bring me greater happiness than knowing my lectures have brightened someone's life, somewhere on this planet.
