Since 1987, I have devoted my career to creating and improving the original method MISJ (Mikiko Iwasaki’s Systematic Japanese), a step-by-step system that makes learning Japanese clear, efficient, and enjoyable. It also works as a teacher development system.

About my career and achievements
– Graduated from Tokyo Women’s Christian College with a BA in Mathematics
– Created MISJ (Mikiko Iwasaki’s Systematic Japanese), a step-by-step teaching and learning system from introductory to early-intermediate level
– Developed review materials for students and teaching materials for instructors
– Developed three e-learning programs, including two with Toshiba in 2001
– Supervised NHK WORLD’s TV program “Meet & Speak” (2011–2014) and NHK Educational TV textbook (2014–2016)
– Worked as a part-time lecturer at Nara Institute of Science & Technology (2015–2018)
– Have supported Japanese language education in Congo (DRC) since 2011; Co-founder and Vice President of NGO Cong Japan Corner (2024–)
