About me
I've been teaching English to second language learners for upwards of a decade now, and since the beginning of my teaching days I've been involved with curriculum and materials development in one way or another. It was when I opened my own language institute in South Korea in 2006 however, that I began to look for ways to use the fantastic technologies and tools that were beginning to develop around the Internet. I experimented with classes through Skype, Ooovoo, and various other platforms, but it's only recently, with the launch of iBooks, iBooks author, Udemy and so forth, that it became super easy to take my knowledge and materials online.
For the last three years, I've been teaching Maritime English I, and Business English I for the Port Management and Transport and Logistics courses at ENIDH in Lisbon, and I quickly realized that there is a dire need for the development of up-to-date course materials that integrate English grammar, listening, speaking and writing activities into the Maritime-focused materials so as to improve the general fluency of students in this area. This is my first attempt at doing so, and I realize that there is probably quite a lot of room for improvement, but I really look forward to your feedback and criticism. I also look forward to being actively involved with my online students through constant dialogue and mutual collaboration.
My students' progress and levels of satisfaction have always been and will always be my top priority, and my door, even if it is in a virtual sense, is always open to you.
