Michel Cioffi
French language teacher- videomaker-film director
About me
I was born in Paris, I studied law at University in Paris and then language teaching methods through audiovisual systems, receiving appropriate training.
I have taught French in Italy in schools of conference interpreting and translation, and language high school. Then I realized audiovisual courses for the teaching of English: English between friends and especially Live from England, shot entirely in England with the participation of more than 80 professional actors.
This course led me to work in the USA where I created the audiovisual production department at the Berlitz School of Languages in Princeton New Jersey, on behalf of the publishing company Macmillan, then owner of the brand Berlitz.
in America, I became a member of the American Film Institute.
Back in Europe, I made numerous cultural films, reportages, documentaries as director and filmmaker, mainly in Africa and Asia, with several reports and films broadcasted by RAI and other broadcasters.
I recently made a French video-course in two versions. One, entitled "il francese per te", specific for Italian native speakers and the other entitled "French for you" aimed at the English-speaking world. My experience as a teacher taught me that the difficulties for learning French are different depending on the mother tongue of the students.
