Dr. Michael Filimowicz (artist name Myk Eff) is a music producer, award-winning digital artist, author, and educator with over 20 years of experience teaching in higher education. He has published over 40 books and is the founder of Myk Eff Records, an independent label spanning a wide range of musical genres.

A University Lecturer in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University, he brings an interdisciplinary background in sound design, digital media, audiovisual production, and creative writing to his teaching. His artwork has been exhibited internationally, including at the SIGGRAPH Art Gallery, and featured in journals such as Leonardo.

His teaching connects creative ideas with practical techniques, helping learners develop their skills and explore new possibilities in music, art, and digital storytelling.
