Michael Schutte is a Professional Painter/Designer and moved in 2013 from Amsterdam Holland, to Parksville BC Vancouver Island.

He was teaching Music and Art for more than 25 Years in The Netherlands and did a lot of Exhibitions, Television Shows. During the teaching of Art he discovered the Digital designing world and developed himself as a digital Painter and started making courses for Students who are interested in the world of Animation, Digital Film Backgrounds etc. 

Now he is teaching together with his wife Els, at The Academy of Music and Art in Qualicum Beach BC Vancouver Island. He founded the Academy for Vancouver Island in 2013 and has a lot of Students right from the Start.

He is presenting and producing a daily Television Show about Art in Nanaimo for Shaw Television “Painting the Island with Michael Schutte.” A show about History and Art.

Michael enjoys the Beautiful Nature of BC and does a lot of Nature sketching. He is also a strong supporter of the North Island Wildlife Centre in Coombs.

Lots of his paintings were donated to this great Recovery Centre.

Now he is developing more digital courses to help Students forward on their Art journey.
