After completing both a BA and BSc, he began his career in South Africa as a software developer. As security became an increasingly critical part of software development, he expanded his focus to include GRC, InfoSec, and assurance practices. He cemented this knowledge through certification, and by blending these disciplines with his technical background, he has worked across all three lines of defence, contributing to the successful delivery of ISMS implementations and practical risk treatment solutions. His work bridges the gap between policy and the shop floor, ensuring that strategic security directives land smoothly, with minimal disruption to operational efficiency.
