Matthew Sockolov is a meditation teacher empowered by Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Spirit Rock was founded by Jack Kornfield, Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg, and others to serve as a community investigating meditation in the West. Matthew's training in the Insight Meditation tradition with Spirit Rock has led him to becoming a respected teacher in Northern California.

Matthew has been teaching meditation for years in California at addiction treatment centers, to foster youth, to teenagers, and at his meditation center One Mind Dharma. With a strong understanding of the Buddha's teachings and Buddhist history, Matthew strives to bring these ancient teachings to modern living and making them accessible to all. Matthew currently lives in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
