Dr. Maryna Kuzmenko brings nearly 10 years of practical experience in applying digital technologies in agriculture, with a primary focus on using computer vision and deep learning for plant phenotyping and food quality assurance.
The global platform, Petiole Pro, developed by Maryna's team, was named among a finalist in the GIST Tech-I competition (USA), shortlisted for the UK FPC Fresh Awards 2023, and received two grants from Innovate UK — the UK government’s innovation agency — for practical AI applications in agricultural challenges such as pest and disease detection.
Maryna is one of the 16 Community Forum Members, pre-selected by Innovate UK Women in Innovation team.
She is a regular speaker at educational events and has participated in high-level agriculture-focused meetings in the United Kingdom and worldwide.
Maryna has hands on experience of work in government relations in Ukraine; she worked at AXA Insurance and now represents her own UK-based SME working with smallholder farmers around the world.
