I’ve been programming since 1979, starting with BASIC on a 16K computer and quickly moving to assembly language to squeeze every byte of performance out of early machines.

Throughout my career I’ve worked with many languages, but I’ve always gravitated toward C-style languages.

Today my focus is Rust, where performance, safety, and modern tooling make it one of the most exciting ecosystems in software development.
