My name is Malke Asaad and I am a plastic surgery resident at the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating from Aleppo medical school in Syria, I pursued 3 years of clinical research at two world-renowned institutions – The Mayo Clinic in Rochester/Minnesota, and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston/Texas. During three years of research, I worked with leaders of the field and published over 100 publications and participated in over 80 presentations.
