Dr. M. Kanthababu obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. Master's and Doctoral degrees are from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. On the basis of his research work, he has published more than one hundred technical articles in prestigious International Journals and Conferences and Published 10 books.

Based on his project and research works, he has so far filed 25 patent applications (out of which 22 patents have been granted as on Feb 2024). Additionally, he has been awarded with Industrial Design and Copyrights. He has enabled with more than 300 patents for Universities, individuals, and businessman as a registered and authorized patent agent. He is also a Registered Trade Marks Agent.
