Lisa Harvey
Astronomer and Community Host
About me
I've been an amateur astronomer for as long as I can remember. Observing the sky has been a joyful and fulfilling experience. I've travelled the world viewing the sky from different locations and visiting astronomy and science museums, locations and instruments.
I've also been a trainer and online community builder for more than three decades. Helping organisations gather their people together online, engaging with them and building their community of friends and followers. I've trained technologists and non-profits, and I've and worked for a training company, teaching people to use training software to get the most out of their courses and their people.
I've brought these two parts of my life together to create Everyday Astronomers. Creating a community of people who love the night sky and helping people to observe the sky has been the best work of my life and career.
The night sky is full of discoveries, even if light pollution drowns out most of it.
The sky above you can give you perspective, help you learn about science and let you escape the troubles of everyday life on Earth.
I'm creating courses that will help you discover your universe. With or without a telescope, under a bright city sky or a sky blazing with stars.
Discover your universe at your place, in your time. The sky belongs to everyone.
