My name is Laury, I'm from France and after graduating from a business school, I moved to Singapore to settle with my partner Kaushik, who is a Bengali native from Kolkata, India.
I wanted to speak Bengali to communicate more easily with his family and better understand his cultural background. Despite being the 6th most spoken language worldwide, I realized that Bengali is not commonly taught compared to other popular languages. The result is, you can barely find reliable resources online and my learning journey has been quite chaotic.
Thus, the two of us decided to help people interested in learning Bengali by creating the platform bengalearn that focuses essentially on speaking.
