With more than 20 years in senior HR leadership roles for companies like Starbucks and Amazon, I now run a thriving HR consulting business serving small and mid-sized organizations across California and the United States.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, which gave me a solid foundation in both people and business strategy.
Nearly a decade ago, I made the decision to leave corporate life behind and move to a small mountain town, where I built my consulting business from the ground up. That leap completely changed how I view work, freedom, and success.
I’m also the author of Consulting for Anyone: How to Turn Everyday Skills into a Side Hustle or Small Business, a book that shares the same mission as my courses, helping people recognize the value of their experience and turn it into a meaningful business. It’s written not just for business professionals, but also for hobbyists and anyone who wants to transform their skills or passions into new opportunities.
My teaching style is practical, genuine, and rooted in real-world experience. I know what it feels like to be burned out, overlooked, or stuck, and I also know the incredible sense of purpose that comes from building something of your own. Through clear steps, proven frameworks, and honest guidance, I help HR professionals turn their knowledge into consulting businesses that bring more flexibility, fulfillment, and income.
In addition to my consulting and coaching programs, I created CalifoHRnia Academy: HR Basics for California, a course designed to make California employment laws easy to understand. It breaks down complex regulations and compliance requirements into simple, actionable lessons that empower HR professionals, business owners, and managers to confidently manage their teams and stay compliant.
