I'm Kazuko "Kaya" Yamazaki, a Nihon Buyō artist, choreographer, and anthropologist. I teach Classical Japanese Dance ("CJD") online because there are not many resources for serious students of CJD and Nihon Buyō outside Japan. Many people like you want to study and continue to train in authentic CJD/Nihon Buyō but cannot afford to go to Japan. I offer pre-recorded courses and a teacher certification program in English.

When I was four years old, my mother took me to a dance teacher in my birth city of Tokyo, Japan. Since then, I have been dancing all my life.

I hold a natori (master performer certificate), but I do not disclose my ryūha (school) because I teach using the Yamazaki Method™, which I've created independently of my ryūha.

My teaching experience spans over forty years, which includes intensives, workshops, and masterclasses.
