After many, many years of successfully teaching students face to face and online. I have now created courses specially arranged for the online course format to give you all the advantages of having face to face lessons, but with the convenience of studying at home.

I firmly believe in making music accessible for everyone, not just the "gifted". It is a skill innate to all, but as with all skills it requires effort and dedication. At the very least we should all have the opportunity to learn to appreciate, and challenge ourselves with new adventures, and deeper understandings.

I was fortunate to grow up with music in and around my family. My wife and I are now raising our family with this same love of music and learning. There's something very special about playing music with others, and particularly with your own family.

One of the most exciting aspects of being a teacher is witnessing that moment a student "gets it"

or...."when the penny drops", "the light bulb moment", the "ah ha" moment.

It's quite magical observing a person's internal shift of perception in a positive direction. The sudden realization of meaning and exciting new possibilities.

Over the years I have been fortunate to learn from great teachers and musicians. In turn, I have had the privilege to help many people, from varied backgrounds, on their own musical journey, whether for fun, or for more serious endeavors. From school age children to retirees, musicians, artists, CEO's, military personnel, factory workers, business owners, mum's and dad's, and everyone in between.
