I have over 30 years experience developing and delivering a wide variety of training courses, but primarily managerial soft skills, both within corporations and as a independent instructional designer.
I developed an interest in “Giving Feedback” in 1999 when I was asked to develop a course that included this topic and could not find anything that would work effectively to help managers with the kind of "tough" real-life performance feedback/coaching situations that I knew they were struggling with the most. The existing training approaches, while they worked fine in theory, were falling short in practice for exactly those difficult situations - hampering their ability to both manage employee performance and provide effective coaching.
Finding a way to overcome this problem became my passion and The PAF Technique was the result. Consequently, I have specialized in training on this subject ever since.
We have been teaching this course locally in a classroom/workshop setting since 2004 with great reviews. COVID provided the impetus to put it online (January 2022) which has allowed us to make it available to a much wider audience than we were previously able to reach.
