John Creger is an education consultant excited to share with Udemy users the journey of self-discovery his 35 years with sophomores in his English classes have inspired him to develop. His work as a teacher is widely recognized. For his Personal Creed Project, John received the James Moffett Award for Teacher Research from the National Councils of Teachers of English. Publication of his book The Personal Creed Project and a New Vision of Learning followed. In the articles he has published in professional journals and in over 80 workshops and trainings, John shares what he has come to understand about how to facilitate a balance in students' learning among managing information, gaining knowledge, and discovering wisdom. Grateful to each of his former students for the privilege of being part of their journeys, he feels fortunate to remain in touch with many. John is especially delighted to work with Naman and Daniel, our amazing Personal Creed Organization leads and Udemy co-instructors, to create this first online version of the Personal Creed Project. Beyond his education interests, John composes on the guitar, performs with his jazz-oriented band Rocco-Rhythmx and spends time with his wife and daughters.
