Professor Reed is the Willis G. Worcester Professor of ECE at Virginia Tech with a specialty in wireless communications.  He is an  IEEE Fellow for contributions to software radio, communications signal processing, and engineering education.  He has co-founded several companies in the areas of wireless communications and cybersecurity.  Dr. Reed also served as a consultant to many leading wireless and defense firms.
