Hey Everybody! My name is Jason Akers and I own my own pest control business in Central / South West Virginia called Green Akers Pest Control LLC. I started in the pest control industry when I was 6-7 years old working with my dad in his company. Over time, I saw things in the pest control industry that could be better.

My wife and I began talking about what pest control should be, not only for customer service and safety, but the technicians are often under trained, poorly paid, and often lack access to the basic tools they need to do quality pest control safely.

In 2016 we founded Green Akers Pest Control LLC and later that year I began making videos expressing my frustration with bad techniques for eliminating bed bugs. In an effort to try to help others eliminate their pests and fend off the growing bed bug epidemic, I began servicing the entire state of Virginia for bed bugs and doing DIY videos on YouTube to help those who could not afford an exterminator.

I really enjoy the field of extermination and I imagine I will be a pest control professional ‘til the day I die. I could not imagine anything more rewarding than the the many thanks I receive from not only my customers, but also my YouTube audience and other pest control techs I have helped along the way.
