Teacher and 3D Printing Artist
About me
I began my teaching career in 2004 at Foster High School in Richmond, TX where I had the privilege of teaching engineering design and CAD classes. I had 10 amazing years there, where I was nominated for the district Star Tech Teacher award and voted by my peers as Foster's 2012 Teacher of the Year. During my last two years at Foster, I served as Department Chair of the Career and Technical Education department. In 2014 I resigned my position at Foster in order to follow a calling to spend more time with my own family while teaching homeschool families at a STEM facility in Sugar Land. The last two years have been a blessing as I have had the unique opportunity to work with students and parents in the areas of 3D Printing, Engineering Design, and Robotics. During this time I have also been able to serve as a robotics team mentor and coach in both the FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Lego League.
