My name is Jamie De Smit and I'm passionate Health & Physical Education Teacher and ambitious educational entrepreneur at PE Buddy. My passion lies in empowering students, athletes, teachers and coaches to achieve success in school, sport and life.
I love learning and hold a Master of Teaching, a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, and numerous certificates and diplomas in Fitness and Sport Development. Additionally, I have played soccer at various levels for over 5 years, giving me the opportunity to practice and refine the strategies and knowledge I've learnt about performance.
Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, I began creating instructional videos on YouTube to support my students. The positive response motivated me to expand my reach through online courses, teaching resources, blogging and more. Today, PE Buddy has grown to a community of 10,000+ people around the world learning how to improve their performance! We've got nearly 5000 YouTube subscribers, 3000+ students on Udemy, 1500 website subscribers and a strong presence on Facebook with 5000+ followers.
