About me
Over the past decade, Ilze has been bringing a holistic approach to the well-being of people all across the world, in international and national organizations, yoga and wellness studios, as well as hospitals, women prisons, and youth camps. Ilze is motivated to empower individuals and communities to put their well-being, and the well-being of the planet, as a priority.
Ilze is a proud graduate of the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage, the Integration Institute of London, the Sunshine Massage School of Thailand, and many more movement and bodywork courses led by amazing body-workers and humble teachers.
As a law graduate, she is passionate about social justice, and thus, since 2004, Ilze has been working as a facilitator for various organizations which tackle global topics, as well as fostering personal leadership and engagements like the British Council, United Nations Environment Program, Louis August Jonas Foundation, Europe-Asia Foundation, International Young Naturefriends, Federation of Young European Greens, Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe, Youth and Environment Europe and many others.
Ilze’s dedication to education lies in bringing the restorative potential of touch and movement within a social change community. Thus, in the past years, she has worked extensively on concepts of embodiment for leadership, creativity and peacebuilding, such as the "Women for the Planet" (2012), “Creative Bodies” (2013), “Embodied Leadership” (2015), “Embodied Peace-building” (2016) and “Your body is your statement” (2016).
Now, after so many years out in the world, Ilze has moved back to her hometown in Latvia, but still travels internationally and delivers individual and group sessions and workshops on practices like partner yoga, Thai massage, functional and mindful movement, and bodywork, and social change.
