Handpan Studio Amsterdam - founded by the duo Deniz Kavafoglu and Joris Cohen. Two handpan musicians who met each other during their performances at the Museum Square of their beloved city, Amsterdam. Their partnership is manifested through friendship, musical connection and most of all; their passion for the handpan.

With over a decade of experience in the handpan world, they have many beautiful stories to tell. Music has a special place in their hearts and lives. Reflecting emotions and personality, it becomes a form of expression. Truly, they found peace in this vibrant society through and by the art of music. Knowing how much this instrument can give you, they now feel the desire to share the beauty of playing handpan with you.

In the beginning of 2020, they founded Handpan Studio Amsterdam, the first handpan school in the Netherlands. At that same time, together with Kris, they developed their own handpan brand: Mokum Pan. Instruments Deniz and Joris truly love and believe in, as they always perform with their own instruments.

Through this platform they aim to introduce those who are interested to the mesmerizing world of creativity and music. Handpan Studio strives for a comfortable environment for every person, experienced and new - to start their own handpan adventure and support them in their musical journey.
