Hi, I’m Hamish Neilands – an artist, author, and creative educator.

I’ve been drawing for years and have written two instructional books on cartooning and perspective drawing. My passion is helping artists of all levels unlock the ability to create convincing, dynamic artwork by mastering the fundamentals.

Perspective is one of the most powerful tools in an artist’s toolbox, but for many, it feels intimidating or overly technical. My goal is to break it down into simple, practical steps that anyone can follow. Through clear explanations, visual demonstrations, and exercises, I’ll help you gain the confidence to draw environments, characters, and objects in believable 3D space.

When I’m not teaching, I’m working on creative projects ranging from graphic novels to music and film. I know what it’s like to feel stuck as an artist, and I also know the boost of confidence that comes when things finally “click.” That’s the experience I want to share with you.
